Atlanta – Special Agent in Charge (SAC) Gregory Jones, FBI Atlanta, requests the assistance of the public with regard to the following armed robbery:

This afternoon, November 5, 2007, at approximately 10:20 a.m., a lone black male entered the Wachovia Bank, located at 1200 Dogwood Road, Conyers, Georgia, and, while brandishing a handgun, announced a robbery.  During the robbery, the robber jumped over the teller counter and began taking money from several teller stations.

The robber then drove off in what was described as a newer model mid sized vehicle with tinted windows. Several of the dye stained bills were thrown out of the car as the robber, and possibly another individual, drove away.  Additionally, a uniformed police officer working an auto accident nearby caught the vehicle on his in-car dash camera and that video is currently being reviewed.

The robber is described as follows:

Race: Black
            Sex:  Male
            Age: Unknown
            Hgt: 5’7” – 5’8”
            Wgt: 160 lbs -180lbs.
            Build: Medium
            Clothing:  Black hooded sweatshirt, black face covering, black gloves,
                              Gray pants, black shoes, black ski mask
            Misc: Possible African accent,  carrying a black duffle bag

            This robber is also believed to be responsible for two earlier bank robberies as follows:

            10/20/07  Georgia’s Own Credit Union, 1979 Lakeside Pkwy, Tucker, GA

            10/29/07  Fidelity Bank, 2255 Northlake Pkwy, Tucker, GA  

           
            During the previous robberies, a new model KIA Spectra, black in color, has been observed as well as a smaller grey SUV vehicle.
